The recruitment process

We understand the recruitment process can feel a little overwhelming at times, but don’t worry – we’ll be with you every step of the way. Throughout the process, we’ll keep you updated via email, and you can always check your progress on the recruitment portal. Step 1: Eligibility & Application Form

Complete an application form that includes personal details and eligibility questions. You’ll also answer shortlisting questions related to your experience and the role you're applying for and at this stage we'll also check you meet our eligibility criteria – if you're a current serving officer who is meeting the day-to-day requirements of their role, you'll likely have no issue here.

Step 2: National Force Interview & Presentation

If you're successful in the shortlisting stage, you’ll be invited to the national interview at HQ in Enderby. We'll send you all the details in advance to help you prepare. For some roles, a presentation may be required as part of the interview process, and you’ll receive guidance on how to prepare for this.
